Bottlebrush Floor Gyms

Bottlebrush Hanging Gyms.

Bottlebrush Floor Gyms IN 1992, I set out to develop what I considered the perfect parrot Play Gym. Since then, these gyms have been my obsession and the the gyms I build today are the end result. They're as good as I can build them, and are a beautiful piece of parrot furniture you and your bird will love.

The Trays.

3/4" cabinet grade plywood. No particle board ever.
Your choice of 5 Formica colors. My Floor Gyms are a beautiful piece of parrot furniture.
I use high gloss Formica making my gyms exceptionally easy to clean.
1/8X11/2" Aluminum border for a clean look and making the trays virtually indestructible.
All of my tray sets are handmade by me, and numbered, signed and dated.
Overall play gym height is about 41/2'.
Between the trays, I use a hand sanded, stained and clear coated pedestal for stability and beauty.
The middle tray sits about 30" off the floor.
Casters are standard and my gyms are easily moved from room to room.
I use a 2 tray design for one very important reason. More expensive to build, but your bird can't climb down, making Play Gym training possible. See Play Gym training your bird for details.
The trays are designed to be virtually indestructible. I'll explain why below.
My gyms are sold by the tray size. Then, I size and configure the actual branch assembly specifically for the bird it's ordered for within the confines of those trays.

PLUS, I've upgraded the pedestals on my stationary gyms to these. They are hand sanded, stained and clear coated. They look great, are extremely stable, and a great finishing touch to my Play Gyms. I think you'll agree.

The Branch Assembly.

First and most important, I use Bottlebrush. If you're not familiar with Bottlebrush, visit Bottlebrush, your parrots best friend, besides you.
The branch assembly is designed like a real tree, with a main vertical trunk and branches coming off that trunk.
My branch assemblies are intuitive for your bird, and encourage climbing, playing, hanging upside down, all the things a free birds wants to do.

I add lots of screw eyes for hanging Play Toys, etc.
A Spinner toy is also included. These are a psychological toy your parrot will love. It spins, but can't be removed and your parrot will LOVE my spinners. And, after one is chewed up, I include 2 replacement spinners.
I also include one of my unique Play Gym toys. This toy arches over the top of your gym, making your bird feel safe because he's in the tree, not on the tree.
My branch assemblies are designed to provide lots of USABLE perch space in a relatively small footprint.
The day your new gym arrives is the last time you'll ever need to buy chew toys. Play Toys yes, but no more chew toys. Your bird will love chewing on the Bottlebrush branches, and you'll pay for your gym in no time with those savings, and have a happier bird as well.
I call these Floor GYMS because that's exactly what they are. Your bird will get exercise on my gyms, and in no time, be all over my gyms, and get in great shape in no time.

The most unique feature my gyms offer are the replacement branches option. At some point in the future, after your bird has played on and chewed up the branches of his gym, you can order a whole new set. Remove the original set, install the new set and you now have a brand new gym.

Bottlebrush Hanging Gyms. I consider my Hanging Gyms to be the next evolution of my Play Gyms concept. These are a favorite with parrots, and provide everything a bird would want.

Starting from the top down.

I use a 16" PVC hanger attached to the top of the arch. This makes my Hanging Gyms easily moved from room to room without a ladder. Just lift it off the ceiling hook and move it wherever you like.
For those of you with high ceilings, the Hanger length can be adjusted to make the for high ceiling heights.
My Hanging gyms give your bird exactly what they want. They can be up high, where birds love to be, and the natural movement is like being a free bird in a real tree. And, when you want to get your bird, just life the gym off the hook and your bird is down. Everyone wins here, you and your bird.
Your bird will have great fun playing on the Aluminum Arch.
As an added bonus, I include to perches on the Aluminum arch called Hawks Nests. Again, your bird is up nice and high, yet easily taken down as needed.

Overall, these gyms are about 5 feet long, top to bottom. The main top branch hangs about 5 feet from the floor, and the main bottom branch hangs about 30" off the floor. These dimensions vary depending on the size of the gym ordered and the bird it's built for.
Branches are configured all the way around the trunk, providing lots of usable perch space.
The branch assembly itself is designed to encourage climbing, playing, hanging upside down etc, everything your parrot wants to do.

My Hanging Gyms are easily folded up for storage, and can be easily disassembled if needed. Perfect for traveling.
